Quick update

For anyone who used to follow both my blogs (personal + professional), I'm sure you're well aware by now that I turned out to be well intentioned, but not-so-diligent with its upkeep!
Quick update: I'm no longer based in London, United Kingdom (which I loved so dearly), but am currently back in my beautiful hometown of Sydney, Australia.

Just dropping by to let you all know that I have found a platform much more suited to me. You're more likely to find me on the "twittersphere"!! Put simply - it's useful, quick, fun and easy. Its immediacy is much more suited to me. So drop by twitter.com/rosecoloma - I'd love to keep in touch! x

It's been a very long time since I've posted... I'm hopeless, I know! London life was quite busy the last few months... all good...

I'm currently in my hometown of beautiful Sydney, Australia! If you're in town, please come along to GAFFA GALLERY on THURSDAY NIGHT (Dec. 11th) for the exhibition opening (any UK people reading this - "opening" is the Aussie version of what you call "private view" in the UK) of a group show that I am participating in.

London Design Festival 08 update

Designersblock @ London Design Festival 08

As previously mentioned, I will be taking part in the Designersblock 08 exhibition as part of London Design Festival 08. I will be exhibiting with colleagues/friends Ben Tindale (of Mergatroid), Sam Morgan (of Spinifex) and Patrick McMillan.

This year's Designersblock exhibition has moved to a new venue, right in the heart of Covent Garden. Please find details below:

The Designersblock08 official launch party is the evening of September 18th (also when a lot of the other launch parties for the other LDF08 events/exhibitions are, so you'll have to do a lot of running around). Come party with us!
Designersblock is also having one on Sept. 17, hosted by the Norwegian Embassy and another on Sept. 20, hosted by Kithkin - but I think those two are private, invitation only ones sorry.

Busy London Design Festival Bees

This weekend (Sept. 7) is probably the last time my contemporary jewellery work will be making an appearance at The Backyard Markets for the time being (well indefinitely). I probably won't even be there this weekend, but hopefully my pieces will be, care of one of the other girls.
Stay tuned to find out if you'll still be seeing Joyce Wan and Bow Wasinondh at the art markets.

I'm just too busy with other projects at the moment, to make the art markets worth my while. This has been in the works for a while now but I just haven't been very good at updating news on the blog promptly. Apologies for not keeping the Aussies back home, in the loop, but I have been extremely busy with the madness that is the lead up to the London Design Festival 08.

Here's what I've been busy with:
- I have been undertaking an exciting internship at Established & Sons, who relocated to a new studio about a month ago. The brand spanking new 6000 sq foot studio + exhibition space/showroom will be officially launched during London Design Festival with a new exhibition/installation.
- I'm also working for renowned gallerist/curator, Libby Sellers (former Design Museum curator, now of Gallery Libby Sellers) for her "guerilla" gallery's exhibition 'Beau Sauvage' at Liberty, as part of London Design Festival and Frieze Art Fair.
- Last but not least... I have been accepted to participate, along with three other colleagues/friends in the famed Designersblock exhibition as part of London Design Festival.

New fun stuff

Here's a glimpse of a new, fun and playful production series of brooches and rings that I launched when we started the art markets. I don't know if they have an official title, but I guess I've affectionately been calling them my 'Stitch' series.
